Flytxt CEO Dr. Vinod Vasudeven receives the Asia Leadership Award in telecom business

Flytxt, on Monday announced that Dr. Vinod Vasudevan, Group CEO, Flytxt, was presented with the ‘Leadership Excellence in Telecom Business’ award at Asia Leadership Awards event in Dubai.

Asia Leadership Awards distinguishes and honours leaders who have contributed and shaped the Asian economy, and are visionaries behind today's outstanding businesses. “I am honoured to receive this prestigious award and accept it on behalf of the entire Flytxt team. We at Flytxt constantly challenge ourselves to create measurable value to our Telco customers by monetisation of insights from their data using our Advance Analytics technology and services”, said Dr. Vinod Vasudevan.
 
Dr. Vasudevan was commended for his visionary leadership in overseeing Flytxt’s sustained and impressive growth through the last six years. Under his strategic direction the company has emerged as the most preferred big data analytics solution provider for Telcos in Asia and Africa. The company serves more than 50 Telcos across 32 countries, generating more than $100m in incremental revenue for their customers in 2013.
 
“We are seeing increasing demand from other geographies as well for our analytics solutions proven in some of the most challenging Telecom markets of the world. Recognitions like this will encourage us to rise to the occasion and take up new and bigger challenges in our next phase of growth”, added Dr. Vasudevan. 
 
Dr. Vasudevan has spent over 20 years in the global telecommunication industry serving operators such as NTT, SingTel, Orange and Reliance Communications before taking charge of Flytxt in 2008. Dr. Vasudevan, an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, holds several patents and recognitions under his name.
