TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  03 Aug 2010

Telecom tower infrastructure firm, Wireless TT Info Services Ltd. (WTTIL) which is jointly owned by Quippo Telecom Infrastructure Ltd. (QTIL) and Tata Teleservices (TTSL) is likely to witness 10% offloading of stake by QTIL, reports Live Mint.

The report adds that the offloading is valued in the range of Rs.1,700-Rs.1,800 crore and the transaction maybe completed in 15 days. At this value, WTTIL’s valuation turns out to be almost $ 4 billion. The firm will also become debt-free subsequent to the move.

"At this moment, we can only confirm that we expect to complete our proposed stake sale within the next 15 days or so," said QTIL director Sunil Kanoria to Live Mint.

According to the report, QTIL will use the funds raised through such a move to repay loans taken a year ago while acquiring stake from TTSL.
