After launching 4G services in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune and Chandigarh, Airtel is now planning to roll out state-of-the-art networks in Delhi next month.

A company source said that after Delhi 4G services would be rolled out in remaining circles like Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala.
Huawei is likely to plan, design, supply and deploy Airtel’s 4G network in Delhi.
In fact the company had given enough indication in March when it launched 4G services in Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali that remaining circles including Delhi would soon have these services.
In 2012 Bharti Airtel had acquired 49 percent interest in Qualcomm AP’s India entities that hold BWA licenses in Delhi, Mumbai, Haryana and Kerala.

4G is the fourth generation of mobile phone mobile communications standards. It is a successor of the third generation (3G) standards. A 4G system provides mobile ultra-broadband Internet access, for example to laptops with USB wireless modems, to smartphones, and to other mobile devices.
The 4G services would further enhances the footprint of mobile broadband in India.
In May 2012 Bharti Airtel, had selected appointed Chinese Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions giant Huawei, to plan, design, supply and deploy its TD LTE (4G) network in Karnataka.
