BSNL adds highest no of new mobile subscribers in September

PSU BSNL managed to add the highest number of new mobile subscribers in September with 2.3 million additions. This is the first time since many years that the PSU has managed to achieve this feat.

Uninor followed BSNL in adding the highest number of new subscribers with 2.17 million additions.

Market leader Bharti Airtel  added 2 million while Vodafone Essar managed 1.7 million.

New entrant Videoco added 0.8 million new subscribers. Aircel added 1.6 million while Idea Cellular added 1.4 million subscribers.

Collectively Indian GSM operators added 12.42 million subscribers as compared to the over 13 million added in the previous month.
