Videocon slashes ISD call rates
TT Correspondent |  |  01 Sep 2010

Videocon Telecommunications Ltd has announced one paisa per second prepaid calls to America, Singapore and Malaysia.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Mr Aravind Santhanam, Chief Operating Officer, Videocon Telecommunications, said its subscribers will now spend one paisa a second to call the US and Canada, and Rs 1.69 a minute on calls to Singapore and Malaysia.

The 30-day prepaid voucher for US and Canada will cost Rs 57, for Singapore and Malaysia Rs 22 which would also allow subscribers to call the US and Canada at 99 paise a minute.

To the company this is about adding revenues at competitive rates and not just cutting prices, he said.
