Union Communications Minister, A Raja on Thursday called mobile operators to reduce the tariffs for SMS on the lines of tariff cuts for voice services.

"Increasing competition from new players and adoption of better technology have led to reduction in call charges significantly, and I feel the same can happen in case of SMS tariff also," said Raja.
