| Corporate | | | Vodafone India streamlines management team for growth plans | | | TT Correspondent | | 01 Feb 2012 | | |   Vodafone India is believed to be going for major restructuring plans for its management team. This is being done to give an impetus to its growth plans.
The company which has called the restructuring as an effort to be ‘future fit’ has made Sunil Sood the new COO. He is currently holding the position of Director Business Operations, for South and West. Sanjoy Mukerji, currently Director Business Operations for North and East, will be the Chief Commercial Officer. Both Sunil Sood and Sanjoy Mukherjee will report to CEO Mr. Marten Pieters.
Apart from this, under the new structuring plans there will be no position for Chief Marketing Officer. Kumar Ranganathan the current CMO will look after Group's commercial functions. He will have a global role.
The company has created a new position of Director External Affairs who will take care of corporate communication, public affairs and Vodafone foundation. |
