Raja says ''not to resign'
TT Correspondent |  New Delhi |  12 Nov 2010

Union Communications Minister A Raja said today that he will not resign over allegations of his involvement in the 2G spectrum scam .

"The question of my resignation does not arise," said the Minister.

Raja is under pressure from opposition who have been demanding his resignation following his involvement in the alleged 2G spectrum scam case.

Raja is accused of granting 2G spectrum to new players for the price applicable in 2001. Estimates put the loss due to it to government exchequer of as high as over 170,000 crore.

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) Wednesday submitted to the government its report on the controversial 2G spectrum allotment.
