SSTL’s MTS launches services in Gujarat

Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL) on Thursday launched CDMA mobile service, brand MTS, across 245 towns and 5,000 villages of Gujarat.

"With an investment of over Rs 100 crore in Gujarat, SSTL targets two lakh mobile telephony customers and over 6,000 high-speed broadband users by the end of 2011," said Mr Vsevolod Rozanov, CEO and President, SSTL.

Mr Rozanov said his company's business model of providing voice and data services was sustainable, and in the near future it plans to capture 20 per cent of the mobile broadband market.
