airtel launched 3G services in Chennai and Coimbatore

airtel launched 3G services in the cities of Chennai and Coimbatore .

Cinestar and Brand Ambassodor Kranti welcomed the move by subscribing the 3G service thereby becoming the first customer of 3G in Chennai. 

 

airtel will offer services like  video call, live streaming of Video, high speed internet, mobile TV entertainment, go video on social networking etc in Chennai & Coimbatore through 3G technology.  

 

Atul Bindal, President-Mobile Services, Bharti airtel said, “Today, as we introduce the airtel 3G promise in namma Chennai and Coimbatore – we are delighted to bring the power of the mobile internet deeper south. A new era begins for Tamil Nadu’s mobile phone users, with high-speed internet, better access to data services including mCommerce, social networking and mHealth in a robust ecosystem of affordable 3G-ready handsets and a range of applications at affordable prices. We are happy to give one more reason for all mobile users across Tamil Nadu to join India''s network - airtel”.

 

airtel has introduced 4 different plans for 3G services. First one being “PAYG VBC” – under this the existing customers will pay the same prevailing data rates on 2G but will experience the airtel internet on 3G for a short while,

 

 “Sachet Plan” comes with 3 different sub plans of Rs 8 which gives 10 MB of free data usage with one day validity, Rs 45 which gives 30 minutes of broadband access free for 3 days and Rs 65 which gives 65 MB  of free data usage with one day validity respectively.

 

“Standard Plan” prospects the mid to high end users and each sub plan carries a validity of 30 days.  Prepaid customers can get free 100 MB data for 30 days by paying Rs. 101 while the amount is Rs. 100 for postpaid customers. For 250 MB, 600 MB and 2 GB free data usage, postpaid customers are required to pay Rs 200, Rs 450 and Rs 750 whereas the amount is Rs. 201, Rs 451 and Rs 751 for prepaid customers respectively.

 

“FlexiShield Plan” comes with a free usage data of 1.25 GB at Rs. 675 for both prepaid and postpaid customers with a validity of 30 days.
