ZTE Releases New RFC for IP Multimedia Session Domains

ZTE Corporation announced it has published an RFC (Request for Comments) standard on IP Multimedia Session (IMS) domains, together with one of the world’s famous international vendors.

 

Known as RFC6141, the document is a guide for interworking between SIP elements and equipment, and seeks to address issues around core network products such as SIP terminals, the CSCF of each vendors and SIP AS (ex. IMS, AS, and multimedia conferencing AS). The proposed standard in IP multimedia session domain will help in promoting Internet standards and technologies improvement and highlight ZTE’s pioneering and leadership role in the fields of industry standards.

 

ZTE announced that the core protocol (RFC6043) of ZTE IMS media plane security has passed certification by IETF and is mandatory used in 3GPP TS 33.328 and  RFC 6043 is adopted by many high-level operators.
