Akamai Technologies appoints David Rich as Vice President, Asia Pacific

akamai Technologies, Inc the leading provider of cloud optimisation services, appointed David Rich as Vice President, Asia Pacific to lead its expanding regional team covering Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan.

 

 

.In his new role, David Rich will be responsible for driving the company’s growth throughout the region, helping businesses to securely power rich media, enterprise applications and cloud services online.

 

 

“As an increasing number of businesses rely on the cloud to deliver critical applications, it is essential that the infrastructure in place is second to none,” said David Rich.  “Akamai plays a major role in the adoption of cloud-based strategies,  and the market opportunity continues to grow in this region.  I look forward to working closely with our customers to ensure they have the most robust platform possible.”

 

David Rich has over 30 years of experience in the high-tech and telecom sector, previously holding senior management roles at Verizon Business, Global One and Cable & Wireless, where he gained an in-depth knowledge of the business and regulatory landscape across Asia Pacific
