ZTE Corporation, a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions on Monday launched “next-generation home network solution”, claimed to be the first in industry at the Broadband World Forum Asia 2011 in Kuala Lumpur.
In an industry first, this will allow the concept of separating the service and access sides of a traditional home gateway and will revolutionize the integration of multiple digital home applications.
“Our next-generation home network solution aims not only to help operators deploy networks more efficiently and cost-effectively, but it can also deliver a richer future home experience to end users”,said ZTE Vice President Xu Ming
ZTE’s next-generation home network solution exclusively suggests separating the inside ASIA service side and the outside IPAD access side, achieving a synchronized upgrade of the terminal, pipe and cloud of a home network.
The inside ASIA architecture employs G.hn technology to network through power lines. This design cuts operators’ hardware costs and reduces the need for on-site service As a result, home users can enjoy better services without being disturbed.
The solution features a unique “cloud media center” which stores online entertainment and application service resources at the operator’s cloud side to drastically improve media storage and sharing functionality.
