Mobile TV | | MTNL, DigiVive to provide mobile TV | | TT Correspondent | | 19 May 2011 | | | State-run MTNL today entered into a partnership with mobile-value-added services provider DigiVive to offer mobile television and voice-interactive-response (IVR) services to its customers.
"nexGTv is a mobile TV service offering live TV channels and an exhaustive list of Video-On-Demand (VOD) content on mobile. This service is available for both 2G as well as 3G users with compatible handsets", DigiVive said in a statement.
State-run MTNL provides telecom services in two metros --Delhi and Mumbai.
It will also provide first-of-its-kind VOD (Video on demand) content. The service would be available on a daily weekly and monthly subscription on pay per view basis, it added.
"This is yet another endeavour to provide to our customers a chance to view a whole range of Live TV channels and VOD. The content has been chosen to suit the need of every customer," MTNL CMD Kuldip Singh said.
However, the charges for the Video IVR Solution -- Vmotion--that combines voice and video, the subscription charges are fixed at Rs 30 per month, Rs 10 per week and Rs 3 per day with no video call charges. |
