Huawei a major player in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has announced its annual Corporate Social Responsibility report.
pany officials said that the released report highlights Huawei’s ongoing CSR efforts in the United States and Canada.
Huawei, throughout 2010, introduced a series of CSR initiatives in North America with the goal of being a good corporate citizen. It accomplished this by contributing to the harmonious and sustained development of our society, the economy and the environment.
The employees of Huawei volunteered and participated in numerous activities with national and local charities and non-profitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, United Way, and the SENS Foundation.
The company has also made significant donations to organizations such as Children’s Medical Center at Legacy, the Plano Independent School District, and the North Texas Food Bank.
To donate $100,000 to programs that will better prepare children across the country for work, school and life, the company has also announced a partnership with America’s Promise Alliance earlier this year. The amount donated will help prepare children across the country for work, school and life.
Huawei, with a purpose to drive telecommunications penetration and elevate expertise, is sponsoring, funding and collaborating with many universities across the nation.
“Huawei is a global operation with a growing footprint in North America,” said Charles Ding, President of Huawei North America, in a statement.
