ZTE signs managed service contract with NCELL

ZTE Corporation a global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, announced on Thursday that it has secured a three-year Managed Service project with Nepal’s Ncell which is part of TeliaSonera group, a leading European telecommunication company.
 
The Ncell project is a significant one as a role model of network management for TeliaSonera in Nepal, as it highlights the leadership role of TeliaSonera’s global telecommunications network management services.
 
 “This marks the beginning of cooperation between ZTE and TeliaSonera in global managed service projects. Through this project, we can demonstrate our ability to create more value for our clients in this new are,” said Yang Jiaxiao, General Manager of ZTE’s Service Product Line.

In recent years, ZTE’s telecommunications managed service has been growing rapidly. The company’s managed service grew more than 60% year-on-year in 2010 to become one of the company’s drivers for growth drivers. Expansion in the European market has been particularly fast, increasing by more than 300%. Managed services are also one of the strategic areas for the company’s development for 2011.
