US-based Palm Inc said that it may consider outsourcing handsets from local handsets after the sales reach a reasonable level. The company has two models to offer in India and will be coming up with a third model within the next 6 months.
"We launched the first model in last September. This was targeted at the business class. The latest one, Centro, aims to catch up the younger generation. With these two and others in the coming days, we hope to be doing a good business in India," said Palm''s Regional Director (Asia pacific) Olivier Rozay.
The company expects that revenues from India should contribute around 10 per cent of the Asia Pacific revenues in the next one year. |
