2G: Raja seeks court’s permission to appear in SC
TT Correspondent |  |  05 Oct 2011

The former telecom minister and an accused in 2G spectrum allocation case has expressed his desire to appear in the court. Last week raja refused to file a reply to charges of criminal breach of public trust asking for status of probe being conducted by CBI.

Raja on Wednesday moved an application in the Patiala House Court seeking permission to appear in the Supreme Court on Monday.

Raja, who is currently in the Tihar Jail in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam, pleaded that he be allowed to argue in person before an apex court bench.

Raja wants to argue on the question of the Supreme Court-monitored probe into the scam.

The fresh plea by the DMK leader will be heard on Friday.
