The Delhi high court has issued contempt notices against five officials of Vodafone Essar for allegedly violating its order asking the telecom major to restore services of Matrix Cellular, which offers telecom solutions to Indians visiting abroad, for next two months for providing help to post-paid subscribers.
“Issue notice to respondents (officials) returnable on November 23. The notice be taken dasti (by hand) as well,” Justice Vipin Shanghi said.
The court sought responses from director Vodafone Essar Sanjoy Mukerji, Rajiv Kohli, MD and CEO Marten Peters, Shaina Subramaniuam and Monika Pathak and put the matter for further hearing on November 23. The notices were issued on a fresh petition of Matrix Cellular Services alleging violation of earlier court orders directing Vodafone to restore services on its helpline mobile number 9811188888. |
