All eyes now set on Raja’s next move
TT Correspondent |  |  06 Dec 2011

After the court granted bail to Kanimozhi, corporate honchos and others facing probe in 2G scam case,  all eyes are now set on A Raja’s next move.

Many thought that after they all got out of the jail Raja too would apply for the bail. but when CBI argued that that his former aide Chandolia, former telecom secretary Behura and he were the key conspirators in the 2G spectrum allocation case and can not be equated with those granted bail, it effectively blurs his chances of coming out of the jail.

There are also speculations that Raja is reluctant to move the bail application as he fears  for his life outside jail. But this has been rubbished by his lawyer saying that he is only waiting for the right moment. Now Raja’s camp is watching with great suspense the outcome of the bail plea of Behura.

What has created confusion in Raja’s camp is that even after the trial court granted bail to his aide Chanolia, the High Court following outcry in the media stayed the bail order.

While the High Court reserved the order on Behura’s bail plea, Raja’s camp is waiting for December 7 when Chandolia appears before HC.
