The parliament on Thursday witnessed uproarious scenes with the opposition led by Bhratiya Janata party scaling up the pitch for the resignation of the Home Minister P Chidambaram for his alleged role in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
As a result of this, both the houses of the parliament failed to conduct any business as they were forced to be adjourned till 2 PM.
The trouble in the Lok Sabha started when Speaker Meira Kumar called for the Question Hour prompting the members of BJP-led NDA to shout slogans demanding the resignation of Chidambaram.
They were shouting slogans 'Griha Mantri Istifa Do (Home Minister resign)' from their seats.
The scene was no better when the House met again at 12 noon as the NDA members did not allow the CPI member Gurudas Dasgupta to initiate the discussion on price rise.
