TT Correspondent |  Mumbai |  27 Mar 2008

Tata Teleservices announced its tie-up with mobile payment solutions company PayMate enabling its subscribers to book domestic air tickets through their mobile phones.

"PayMate will be leveraging its association with travel portals such as makemytrip.com and travelmart.com to enable customers to search for the cheapest airfares. Partnering with Tata Indicom will just make this facility available across several million handsets in one go and provide an extremely convenient ticketing channel for customers," said Mr Ajay Adiseshann, Founder and Managing Director, PayMate.

The charges for the application vary from Rs 10 for a three-day trial up to Rs 30 a month.
