In a bid to lead the pack in the smartphone race Nokia on Tuesday launched an advertising and marketing blitz to aggressively sell Nokia Lumia. The company through this company is betting on the youth aged 22-24.
As part of the campaign Jet Airways aircraft will be painted and branded with Nokia Lumia colours to be followed cars, taxis and buses.
Nokia India Western regional general manager Prashanth Mani in a press briefing said that the exercise called Amazing Everyday is the biggest advertising and marketing blitz that Nokia India has launched for any product so far”.
He said that the company is in talks with all leading telecom service providers to provide special 3G data packages with these smartphones very soon.
“We have also trained 12,500 people all over the country to provide assistance to consumers. We are also working with 1,000 developers across India to develop smartphone applications using the Microsoft Windows Mango 7.5 platform," Mani said.
Mani said that Nokia intends to have phones running both 'Belle' and 'Anna' versions of its proprietary Symbian operating system which is a dual platform strategy that the Nokia is following at present.
“We will continue to use Symbian until 2016” , he said. |
