Court dismisses Sanjay Chandra's application to go abroad for his son’s treatment

A Delhi court on Tuesday rejected the application of the Managing Director of Unitech Wireless (Tamil Nadu) Ltd, Sanjay Chandra, seeking permission on humanitarian ground to go abroad for the treatment of his son.

Chandra who is facing 2G probe has a nine-year-old son is suffering from diabetes. In his application he said that he had an appointment with the doctor for December 27 and that he intends to go abroad between December24 and 29.


The Special Public Prosecutor, U.U. Lalit, representing the CBI, however opposed his application on the grounds that the investigation on the money trail in the 2G case was continuing.
