  As per the data reported by the service providers, by the end of November 2011 about 258.37 lakh subscribers have submitted their requests to different service providers for porting their mobile number.
In MNP Zone-I (Northern & Western India) maximum number of requests have been received in Gujarat (24.86 lakh) followed by Maharashtra (21.00 lakh) whereas in MNP Zone-II (Southern & Eastern) maximum number of requests have been received in Karnataka (22.91 Lakh) followed by Andhra Pradesh Service area (22.71 lakh).
In the month of November-2011, total number of subscribers who have submitted their request for MNP is 26.71 lakh.
Talking about metros Delhi records 13.53lakh MNP requests while the figure in Mumbai and Kolkata 9.19 lakh and 5.77 lakh respectively. |
