Tpad has come up with a free SMS text service that it claims will automatically setup a WiFi enabled mass-market mobile phone bringing free or ultra low cost mobile VoIP calls to many subscribers.
This service is however configured for Nokia’s latest E and N series phones. Tpad has decided to constantly update the SMS text service as mobile phone manufacturers like Motorola and Samsung are about to release their brand new WiFi phones in 2008.
Chris Morris, Tpad’s general manager said “Free calling has finally arrived on mass market mobiles. We are giving all new users who sign up for a free Tpad mobile account a free test call to the value of $0.50 for a limited period. Users will thus have the opportunity to experience the call quality of next generation mobile VoIP.”
Calls will be free if they are routed over their WiFi connection however all other PSTN calls from the user’s WiFi mobile to any other landline or mobile in the world will be come at very low rates.
The service uses the inbuilt software that Nokia already has pre-installed which ensures full compatibility with trouble free usage. |
