Huawei has fired back at Singapore''s Creative Technology with a countersuit over a terminated WiMAX broadband project, according to The Straits Times.
The newspaper said that Huawei filed a defence statement earlier this month and has demanded US$8.23 million in unpaid goods and services. This is on top of compensation for what it claims to be wrongful termination of its contract.
Late last month, Creative and its subsidiary QMax alleged in a suit in High Court that Huawei had misled them into the deal that promised countrywide coverage and the support of 300,000 subscribers.
They alleged that Huawei had 'failed to ascertain' that the 225 base stations they paid for to link consumers wirelessly to the Internet were 'grossly insufficient. |
