ZTE, a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, is demonstrating an array of smart devices launched this year with major U.S. carriers at the International CTIA WIRELESS 2012 conference and tradeshow in New Orleans, LA.
At CTIA 2012, ZTE is showcasing its expansive portfolio of mobile devices and wireless solutions, including smartphones, feature phones, hotspots and tablets. Among the technology on display are U.S. devices that have been launched earlier this year, including the ZTE Optik tablet, ZTE Score, and ZTE Fury and Verizon Jetpack 890L. In addition, the V96 LTE tablet and the flagship ZTE Era smartphone will be on display for the first time in the United States.
“ZTE will dramatically expand its smart device capabilities and heighten its brand awareness in the United States in 2012,” said He Shiyou, executive vice president, and head of the Terminal Handset Division, ZTE. “We are actively working to exceed industry expectations by delivering high-performance devices into the hands of our customers through our partner carriers.”
In 2011, ZTE shipped 15 million smartphones worldwide, a 400 percent increase year-over-year; overall terminal products sales were up 60.4 percent from 2010. This year, ZTE expects smartphone sales to double with significant market growth in North America, Europe, and China. Growth in the United States will continue to be a leading contributor to the company’s overall performance.
“The American market is on its way to becoming ZTE’s largest handsets and mobile devices sales market and we will continue the momentum by bringing our full series of 4G LTE devices to the market throughout the rest of 2012,” said Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA and President, North America Region, ZTE. “We are looking forward to working with our partners to expand the breadth and depth of their product portfolio and delivering high-quality, accessible devices to our customers.” |
