Firstsource Solutions Limited a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider was awarded the Aaj Tak Care awards in the “Livelihood” category in recognition of their programmes that help improve skills and create employment in the rural areas. The awards function was held at the Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on June 6th, 2012 at with Pranab Mukherjee, the honorable Finance Minister, present as the chief guest.
Commenting on this occasion, Rajesh Subramaniam, MD & CEO, Firstsource Solutions Limited said, “Empowering deprived youth to become employable has always been a focus for us Firstsource. Firstsource has been very active in creating job opportunities for the unemployed youth in the rural sector and the differently abled. Early this year, Firstsource in association with Ruralshores started a 135 seat delivery center in Chand, Madhya Pradesh. The company currently employs more than 60 people with various disabilities working at their centres across India.
