Sloka Telecom has released two new product series offering broadband wireless access solutions to ISPs and telecom operators.
The biggest beneficiaries of Bangalore based Sloka Telecom’s new range would be ISPswho can roll out broadband and telephony networks without having to purchase the expensive licensed spectrum.
The twin product range Emerald and Ruby offer wide coverage Point-to-Multipoint (PMP) and long range Point-to-Point (PTP) solutions based on WiFi 11n technology in the frequency range of 5.1-5.9 GHz which includes unlicensed spectrum of 5.8 GHz.
Emerald series consisting of base stations and Consumer Premise Equipment (CPEs) is designed for broadband and telephony for retail customers like residences and enterprises. The second in line Ruby is meant for ISP backhaul and providing leased-line to premium customers. Business engagement includes supply of equipment to ISPs, network planning and deployment, and managed services. Sloka’s Indigo EMS monitors and manages networks remotely giving indication to the ISP if a subscriber does not get the guaranteed throughput.
“The new product lines based on Wi-Fi 11n will allow small to medium ISPs to rollout broadband networks for a wider range of customers, from rural broadband and telephony to enterprise leased line. We are betting on WiFi 11n technology to provide reliable and viable network solutions in the near future”, Said Sujai Karampuri CEO of Sloka Telecom.
The product line is also targeted for private network owners for providing campus connectivity, video surveillance, and tele-schooling projects. Solutions offered will enable the country to meet the target of 175 million broadband connections by the year 2017. Already, its solutions are being used for health, education, banking and skill development in India. |
