Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated and Novacom Europe, a joint venture of GE TIP Trailer Services and CLS-NOVACOM, on Monday announced that Novacom’s Vwise will be available to Qualcomm customers in Europe as Qualcomm Cargo Control.
Novacom’s innovative trailer tracking and management technologies will extend Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe’s product portfolio.
Cargo Control provides remote monitoring and control of assets and loads whether the trailer is connected or disconnected. Operating automatically without driver intervention, Cargo Control transmits trailer location information and other data, such as reefer temperatures, loaded or unloaded, and connected or disconnected trailer.
Cargo Control is built on proven technology from Novacom and comes with a wide range of optional features, such as reefer integration, door lock monitoring, Electronic Braking System (EBS) integration and sensor options (i.e. temperature control, curtain, door). Fleets will access Cargo Control through a unified user interface, the FleetVisor web portal, which enables companies to monitor and fine-tune details of their daily operations.
“By joining Novacom’s trailer products with Qualcomm’s fleet management solutions, our customers now have a completely integrated solution to manage their business operations seamlessly from end-to-end,” said Mark Warner, managing director for Qualcomm Enterprise Services Europe. “Cargo Control will improve our customers’ fleet efficiency, reducing idle assets and down-time, as well as improve delivery timeliness and help reduce asset and cargo thefts, while keeping temperature-sensitive loads in top condition.” |
