Apple’s iPhone 5 which is slated to be released on November 2 has already started fascinating Indian mobile operators with Airtel and Aircel starting taking pre-order for this much awaited device.
According to the websites of both the operators preorders starting at Rs 45,000 for the 16GB variant while the 64GB model has been priced at Rs 59,500.
With all the descriptions of the device displayed on the websites, the shipment of the product is promised within 7-8 days.
Also, the much talked about nano SIM cards that support iPhone 5 will be available in their outlets beginning November 2.
Apple has appointed Ingram Micro and Redington as distributors for selling the iPhone 5, instead of directly selling only through these two operators. Apple has also allowed Rupee-based billing in its application store.
Last month Apple announced it had sold over five million of its new iPhone 5, just three days after its launch on September 21, and more than 100 million iOS devices have been updated with iOS 6, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system.
