Videocon Mobile Services is planning to roll out complete 4G products and services across the newly won circles in 2013.
Videocon in the recently concluded 2G Spectrum auction, bagged liberalised spectrum in six circles of Haryana, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh, Gujarat UP west, UP east, Bihar and Jharkhand.
Having re-won the spectrum for the 6 circles, viz, Gujarat, Haryana, MP, Chattisgarh, UP (East), UP (West), Bihar & Jharkhand and with the ongoing operations in Punjab.
It said that it will ensure that customers keep on enjoying the best services and great value for money product offerings seamlessly.
The spectrum won by Videocon in the recent auction is paired and liberalised, ie, the spectrum can be used to roll out Next Generation Networks and Services by adapting a highly spectrally efficient 4G technology FDD LTE.
This enables operators to gain more efficiency using the same spectrum resources. Next-generation network technologies enable about 30 times more data capacity than a traditional 2G network, allowing telcos to extend the lifespan of existing spectrum assets and reduce the amount of additional spectrum required.
