KeyPoint Technologies has introduced new features for its distinctive Adaptxt smart keyboard app that allows Android users, in an industry first to instantaneously personalize and customize their keyboards.
Smartphone and tablet users can create a vibrant and distinctive keyboard look for their devices from a variety of color combinations to choose from.
The new Adaptxt Themeboard Keyboard Customization feature lets users express their own artistic genius by selecting the color of each keyboard element, the primary QWERTY keys, the secondary numeric and symbol keys, the background color of the keyboard as well as the key color.
Another feature offered with the upcoming release includes letting users adjust the on-screen key height of letters being typed in a message, which makes it an ideal keyboard for small and large screen Android devices.
Adaptxt also provides valuable clipboard features including the ability to cut, copy and paste blocks of text and also use the navigation keys to toggle between fields. Users can also add personalized shortcut words and phrases to the user dictionary.
“We’re listening to our users, who have told us they wanted the ability to customize their keyboards with personalized color schemes,” said KeyPoint’s CEO, Sumit Goswami. “With Smartphones being highly popular and prevalent worldwide, it’s not surprising that some users want to expand the feature set of their devices and transform their default keyboard and give it a more personal and customized touch. That’s what our Themeboard Keyboard Customization does.”
The current version of Adaptxt features 68 language dictionaries, from Arabic to Vietnamese, plus 35 industry-specific dictionaries for professions such as finance, legal and medical. The industry-first SMS dictionary provides more than 3,000 shorthand abbreviations such as lol, btw, gr8 and every1 to make typing text messages faster while keeping them from exceeding the 160-character limit.
Adaptxt uses artificial intelligence to identify the unique words and phrases entered by each user and adds them to a personalized custom dictionary. Adaptxt is fundamentally different from and superior to traditional predictive solutions, which simply hunt for a match in a predetermined dictionary lexicon, then automatically change what users type, forcing them to go back and manually correct the platform’s mistake.
The Themeboard Keyboard Customization, key height resizing and clipboard view features will be available on January 7, 2013. The Adaptxt keyboard app is available for free from Google Play Store (https://play.google.com), the Amazon App Store and GetJar store.
The upgraded Adaptxt 1.1 keyboard works with any smartphone running Android 2.1 or later. Adaptxt 2.1 keyboard works with any tablet running Android 2.2 or later. |
