Anritsu showcases LTE voice test solution, LTE advanced test solutions at Mobile World Congress
TT Correspondent |  |  06 Feb 2013

Anritsu a world leader in providing service assurance, LTE and LTE-Advanced test and measurement solutions will showcase its industry leading test and measurement equipment at Mobile world Congress.

These demonstrations will showcase Anritsu’s ability to supply test equipment across the entire telecommunications development sequence, from silicon to service.

As world leaders in providing service assurance, LTE and LTE-Advanced test and measurement solutions, Anritsu are able to offer visitors to their stand (6E50) a unique insight into what can be achieved with LTE and LTE-Advanced technology, what the future of LTE and LTE-A is, as well illustrate the implications of these new technologies to the network operators.

This will provide visitors to be able to view a demonstration of the MD8430A signaling tester with the new Rapid Test Designer (RTD) based solution for full VoLTE services.  This technology has already been adopted in the field, proving its credentials and capability as a complete IMS signaling and LTE signaling solution within a single environment.  Within the same test platform Anritsu will also be demonstrating full LTE-Advanced test capability with Carrier Aggregation.  Carrier Aggregation technology will also be demonstrated operating on both RF and Protocol conformance test solutions.

The MD8475A signaling tester will be available to view, demonstrating an easy to use and effective test solution for ensuring a mobile device is performing to design specifications as well as confirming the audio quality and battery life of a device.

The recently released portable MW82119A PIM Master will also be featured.  This new addition to Anritsu’s range has enabled engineers testing PIM in hard to reach areas to use a solution with 40W power measurement capabilities that measures beyond the cable run of an antenna, a feature unique to Anritsu’s Distance to PIM technology.  Sources of PIM within an antenna site can significantly degrade the network performance when left unchecked, so in difficult-to-access sites, such as Remote Radio Head (RRH) installations and indoor Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) the portable single box solution is an ideal solution.

A fourth demonstration will address the customer experience management (CEM) needs of service providers.  Anritsu’s MasterClaw CEM and service assurance portfolio helps service providers perform network troubleshooting, gain visibility of the packet layer usage through Advanced User plane analytics, and benefit from a multi network, multi-vendor service assurance and customer experience management system.

Jonathan Borrill, the Director of Marketing Strategy for Anritsu EMEA, said “Anritsu aim to give a clear message to the mobile industry that, as the leading player in the T&M community, we are able to provide effective certification Test Platforms to enable the rapid deployment of devices supporting LTE and LTE-Advanced”
