Here is good news for Airtel customers in Delhi. The company on Tuesday launched a new roaming plan for its prepaid customers in the national capital.
Under the plan they will get 30 days of free incoming calls while travelling to Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand and West Bengal (except Kolkata) on a recharge of Rs. 21
The company said that currently its customer in Delhi pay Re 1 for incoming calls, Re 1 for local outgoing calls and Rs. 1.5 paise for STD calls on roaming.
Airtel also mobile HD voice service for its subscribers in four African countries- Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi and Nigeria. With this Airtel has become the third operator to launch a mobile HD voice service in Africa. It said further launches will be scheduled in 2013.
The development comes as the first step in Airtel’s ambition to make mobile HD voice accessible in all its operations across the continent.
HD voice is the most significant improvement in voice communications in the past two decades. Mobile HD voice offers crystal clear audio quality and will enhance user experience on Airtel mobile networks. “Surveys confirm that customers place a high value on HD Voice”, said Andre Beyers, the Chief Marketing Officer, Airtel Africa. “The new service will enrich end-user experience for Airtel subscribers”.
