The race for quad-core phone in India is heating up with Lava Mobiles launching Zolo, its first quad-core Android phone, Xolo Q800. The device is priced at Rs 12,499.
This could be bracketed with Micromax Canvas HD A116 and Karbonn.
Xolo Q800 comes with runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean based phone and comes with a 4.5 inch IPS panel display with qHD (540 x 960 Pixels) resolution. It has a 1.2 GHz quad core Mediatek chipset and 1 GB RAM as Micromax Canvas HD. The Q800 has 4 GB ROM. It has an 8 megapixel autofocus camera with backside illumination CMOS sensor for better low light photography at the back.
Xolo Q800 has 3G (up to 21 Mbps speed which is again much higher than almost all other phones from Indian brands), WiFI, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Proximity sensor, and Accelerometer. The Xolo smartphone has a 2100 mAH battery.
Micromax Canvas HD A116 which was launched in February has 5 inch HD touch screen display IPS (1280 x 800 pixels) and runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS (Upgradeable to Android 4.2). It is also powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad Core Cortex A-7 processor, comes with 1 GB of RAM and its memory stands at 4 GB expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card .
Karbonn Mobiles has recently launched the Karbonn Smart Titanium 1 - India’s first quad-core CPU smartphone. The device is powered by powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is priced at Rs 10,990.
