Micromax Ninja A91 makes debut on e-commerce portal at Rs. 8,499, yet to be official launched
TT Correspondent |  |  08 Apr 2013

After launching the Micromax Canvas HD with so much of fanfare on February 14, the company which promised to launch 30 phones this year has quietly unveiled Micromax Ninja A91. Micromax has not officially launched it.

The phone which comes with 4.5-inch TFT LCD display with 480x854 pixel resolution has appeared on e-commerce portal Saholic which is offering it for Rs. 8,499 with the deleivery time of 3 business days.

Like its predecessor Canvas HD it is also powered MediaTek MT6577 1GHz dual-core processor alongside 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The device sports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera.

Micromax Canvas HD was in the news recently when it went out of stock. Its price was also increased. But the phone which tasted great initial success is now available.

There was another controversy. The Delhi court last month directed Micromax to pay royalty to Swedish firm for using features in its phones which belongs to the latter’ s 2G, 3G and EDGE patents. The direction is part of court’s interim arrangement. As the result of this ruling both the companies may decide on a patent deal by April 9.

Ericsson had filed a patent lawsuit against Micromax over the illegal use of these patents and demanded Rs 100 crore in damages from Micromax.
