Samsung has officially slashed the price of Galaxy S4 and recently launched Galaxy Grand Quattro. While Galaxy S4 which gets a price cut of Rs 1200 is now available at Rs 40,300, Reports Times of India. It was launched with a price tag of Rs 41,500 last month.
But this hardly makes a difference as the e-commerce portals are already offering the device at discount and it is available at a price as low as Rs 38000 at some retailers.
The company also dropped the price of recently launched Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro by Rs 1360. The device can be purchased Rs 16,900 now.
The development is being seen as an attempt to push out of competition the Indian handset makers like Micromax, Karbonn, Spice, LAVA and others. Recently Micromax has launched many smartphones of its canvass series at affordable prices. These have been well received by the people.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 441 ppi. It weighs 130g and is 7.9 mm thick; it's slimmer than its predecessor.
It comes with an internal memory of 16GB, expandable up to 64GB, and has 2GB RAM. It has a 2600 mAh battery which is 20 per cent larger than that of the S III.
Galaxy Grand Quattro runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system and powered by 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor. It comes with smart multi tasking and advanced usability. It has a 5MP camera which the users with enhanced photo taking features such as Continuous Shot, Best Photo, Color Effect for enhanced photo-taking capabilities.
