Some call it trick to arouse customers’ curiosity, others say it is pure marketing strategy, yet in the recent past it has become normal for a handset to appear online before it is officially launched. Keeping the same tradition alive, the specifications of Huawei Ascend P6 have been leaked.

The images and other technical details that have appeared online suggest that the P6 will come with a 4.7-inch 720p display.  It will be powered by 1.5GHz quad-core (likely in-house) processor and Emotion UI (seen above) and sport 8MP BSI rear camera with a 4cm macro, and a 5MP front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, Huawei will soon launch large screen phablet Huawei Ascend Mate for the Indian customers as it listed on e-commerce portal Flipkart.com with a price tag of Rs. 28,990.

It comes with a 6.1-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The Ascend Mate runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and powered by quad-core 1.5GHz processor and 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 4,050 mAh battery. It has 8-megapixel autofocus shooter at the rear and a 1-megapixel front camera for capturing self-images and video chat. According to experts it will take on Samsung Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a dual-SIM device that has a 5.8-inch screen with qHD(540x960 pixels) resolution.

The Ascend Mate weighs 198g and has Wi-Fi: 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot as connectivity options.
