Apple hires Yves Saint Laurent CEO as VP for 'special projects
TT Correspondent |  |  03 Jul 2013

Apple Inc has hired 52-year-old Paul Deneve who held prestigious post as president and CEO of Yves Saint Laurent. Hired for special projects, he will report to Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook.

He also held senior positions at fashion brands Courreges, Nina Ricci and Lanvin, held several sales and marketing jobs at Apple in Europe between 1990 and 1997.

According to financial review, Deneve worked in Apple’s marketing department in Europe in the 1990s. His influence will be keenly observed, given Apple is known for its strong design principles and aesthetically beautiful products (even Chanel’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld is a fan, owning hundreds of iPods).
