Sony which is trying to regain its smartphone market share and compete with highly popular Samsung galaxy series phones is coming out with high-end Sony Xperia Z Ultra with 6.4 inch display in India soon.
Though there is no confirmation form the company about is release date, an online portal saholic.com has suggested it will be available from July 31.
There is no word about its price either but since its pre-order in UK has started at £599.99, it should be available in India at around Rs 45, 000.
According to experts the device on the strength of its specifications can take on Samsung Galaxy Note III which may launched soon.
Sony Xperia Z Ultra runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and powered by quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The 6.4 inch display has the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
It comes with 2 GB of RAM and also 16 GB of internal storage. It has micro SD card allowing the user to add extra storage. It comes packed with 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone has 8 megapixel rear camera.
Here is some good news for smartphone users, especially for the youth looking for either some good exchange offer or a new reasonably priced phone.
Meanwhile, Sony has reduced the price of Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. Both the devices are now available at Rs 34490 and Rs 29,490 instead of Rs. 38,990 and Rs 33,990.
The smartphones with a 5-inch Full HD Reality display and powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor did well in the market. They were launched earlier this year.
