Sony Xperia Z Ultra with 6.4inch TFT Capacitive Touch Screen which was supposed to hit the Indian market on July 31 is now available for pre-order on E-commerce portals. The company has launched the device with a price tag of Rs 46,990.

But E-commerce portal infibeam, Fliprkart and Saholic are offering the device at Rs  44990. While infibeam.com is offering free shipping in India with delivery time of 5 - 6 days,flipkart.com is offering extra 10% cashback on Citibank EMIs.

Sony is trying to regain its smartphone market share and compete with highly popular Samsung galaxy series phones.

The company which is aiming for number three slot after Samsung and Apple is betting on the  Xperia range of smartphones for revenues.

According to experts the device on the strength of its specifications can take on Samsung Galaxy Note III which may be launched soon.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and powered by quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. The 6.4 inch display has the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

It comes with 2 GB of RAM and also 16 GB of internal storage. It has micro SD card allowing the user to add extra storage.  It comes packed with 3000 mAh battery. The smartphone has 8 megapixel rear camera.
