Reliance Communications on Thursday reported a fall of 33% in Q1 net profit. It said that its net profit fell to 1.08 billion rupees ($18 million) from 1.62 billion rupees a year earlier.

Consolidated total revenues came at Rs 53.15 billion, up marginally by 0.97% over Rs 52.64 billion in the same period a year ago. Revenues were higher by 3.6% from Rs 51.3 billion in Q4.
This is the fourth consecutive quarter that the company has reported the decline in the profits.
EBITDA was at Rs 17.01 billion, up 2% on comparable basis from Rs 16.68 billion in Q4. EBITDA margin at 31.4%, amongst the highest in the industry, with strong contribution from both wireless and GEBU businesses.
First quarter wireless revenues was at Rs 48.16 billion, up 4.1% q-o-q from Rs 46.26 billion in Q4. First quarter wireless EBITDA at Rs 13.14 billion, up 6.6% q-o-q. |
