Samsung which is facing a stiff completion from indigenous handset makers like Micromax and Karbonn has quietly launched a dual-SIM smartphone called Samsung Galaxy Trend which is available its India eStore for Rs 8,700.

The device is also listed on e-commerce portals Flipkart and Snapdeal for Rs 8,490. Though there is no word from the company about its official launch, it could be unveiled later this week.

Last week the company announced that it is going to launch two sub-Rs 15,000 smartphones soon. The second phone could be expected anytime soon.
The Galaxy Trend Duos features a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The dual SIM phone runs on Android 4.0 OS and powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM.

The device has a 1500mAh battery and sports a 3 megapixel rear camera. It comes with an internal memory of 4GB, expandable up to 32GB. For connectivity it has 3G, Bluetooth andWiFi options.
