Ever imagined a tablet specially designed for four-year olds? Electronics company Binatone has launched its first Android tablet PC, App Star for kids above 4 years of age at Rs 9,999.

The tablet which has already been launched in UK and other European markets comes   preloaded with fun games, educational apps, art studios, e-books, audio-books, music player and camera with video recorder.

The device features a 7-inch capacitative touch screen and has a special cover which can protect it from any damage if dropped from a table height. It has Wi-Fi connectivity option and comes with a battery back of up of 4 hours.

It comes with 1GHz processor, 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, front camera and microSD card slot.

The tablet has two modes for operations - 'APP STAR' mode for kids and 'parent' mode.  The company said that the two can easily be switched through the parental control.

Binatone Country Head S P Singh  said that this device has  secured password protected parental control built-in to the software to ensure time control and firewalled Internet browsing for kids.

The company said that it is planning to create full ecosystem for kids' tablets with Fun Karaoke, Speaker dock, Racing Car, Helicopter and accessory pack during the X-mas time.
