ASUS launches Transformer Book T100 Fonepad 7 at Rs 34,099 and Rs 17,499 in India

ASUS on Tuesday launched Transformer Book T100 with what the company calls an incredible Ultra-portability and a ASUS Fonepad 7, an updated version of the popular Fonepad.

The ASUS Transformer Book T100 will be available in India at Rs.34,099 across select ASUS authorized retail outlets starting November 2013.
 
The ASUS Fonepad 7 ME372CG will be available Rs 17,499 across select ASUS authorized retail outlets starting November 2013.

The affordable ASUS Transformer Book T100 is a compact ultraportable powered by the new Intel Atom quad-core processor features a 10.1-inch HD display. ASUS Fonepad 7 is an updated version of the 7-inch Android device with full voice telephony for people who want smartphone features with a tablet-size screen.

Transformer Book T100 is not only one of the lightest laptops currently available at just 1.07kg, but also one of the lightest 10-inch tablets around, at 550g.

Just 10.5mm thin in tablet mode, Transformer Book T100 has 10.1-inch display has a crisp 1366 x 768 resolution and features IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles with excellent daylight visibility. Capacitive multi-touch gives fine fingertip control in tablet mode, while exclusive ASUS ‘Reading Mode’ technology adjusts the display automatically to make the screen easier to read for long periods.

Transformer Book T100 also features ASUS Instant On technology for the kind of instant response that people have come to expect from tablets. It wakes from standby in an instant and lasts for up to 14 days in standby mode. 

Fonepad 7, an updated version of the popular Fonepad comes as a 7-inch Android device with full voice telephony for people who want smartphone features with a tablet-size screen. ASUS Fonepad 7 features a new non-slip finish and faster HSPA+ 3G with up to 42Mbit/s download speeds.
 
Fonepad 7 is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology for seamless multi-tasking performance with Android 4.2. The 7-inch display has a crisp 1280 x 800 resolution with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for wide viewing angles and excellent daylight visibility, while dual-front speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology ensure high-quality sound.

Just 10.5mm thick and with a low 340g weight, ASUS Fonepad 7 is highly portable, but perfect for entertainment on the go. A new smudge-resistant coating helps keep fingerprints at bay on the 7-inch screen display and Miracast wireless video streaming mirrors the display to compatible HDTVs for big-screen enjoyment.

Fonepad 7 features a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera, plus a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a 100 continuous-shot ‘burst’ mode and 1080p Full HD video recording. The 3950mAh battery provides up to 28 hours of 3G talk time; 35 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of video playback.

Fonepad 7 is available with 16GB onboard storage and a microSDHC card slot, conveniently located on the side of the case, can be used to add more. 5GB of lifetime ASUS WebStorage is also included and ASUS WebStorage Office also provides a full Microsoft Office experience on the move.
