Pacnet appoints Keith Russell Shaw as director of data center sales for carrier market

Integrated network and technology solutions firm Pacnet, has appointed Keith Russell Shaw as its new Director of Data Center Sales for the Carrier Market as part of the company’s global effort to broaden its data center footprint throughout Asia-Pacific.

Shaw will be based in Hong Kong overseeing all data center requirements for Pacnet’s global carrier customers.

Shaw brings to Pacnet over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and engineering sectors, compounded by proven business development expertise as well as extensive knowledge of network services and data center platforms.

Prior to Pacnet, Shaw held a number of senior-level positions, most recently serving as Head of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Asia at SEACOM and Director of Sales, Asia Pacific & Africa Region at Interoute.

He also held the position of Sales Director, Europe at both- CNT, an IBM affiliate, and Dynegy. From 2000 to 2002, Shaw served as European Sales Director with Pangea Networks, Ltd. He began his career as an apprentice at BT Global Services, progressing to a Data Sales Specialist by the end of his tenure in 2000.
 
Pacnet currently operates over 300,000 square feet of data center space across 14 cities in major markets including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Japan.
