Huawei which showcased Ascend W2 in June at the Mobile Asia Expo 2013has now officially launched it. The Ascend W2 is its second smartphone to run on Windows Phone 8 after its predecessor Ascend W1.
Huawei Ascend W2 will be available in Russia and Netherlands from November and will hit other markets including India later on. Though the company said in its release that it will come to India soon, no launch details and the price has been revealed. It fact it has not revealed the price for any other market.
The Huawei Ascend W2 features a 4.3-inch IPS WVGA (480x800) LCD display with TFT Magic Touch technology feature and is powered by is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512MB of RAM.
It comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is not expandable. It boasts of a 5-megapixel rear camera. It has no front camera. It has a 1700mAh battery, and will be available in four colour variants -Black, Blue, Red and Yellow.
