RCom hikes 3G data tariffs by 26 percent-Report

Reliance Communications has increased its 3G data rates by around 26% for new connections and reduced benefits on existing internet packages.

As per the new rates which, according to Business Standard, have become operational from December 1. The BS report said that old subscribers will with their old rates.

As per new rates, its Rs 123 pack will now offer only 400 MB. It has been reduced by 60 percent. Now the user would pay Rs 156 for 1 GB data.

Its Rs 246 pack 2 GB download, will now allow only 1.5 GB, according to a call center executive of Reliance Communications quoted by the report.

Similarly usage limits of Rs. 246 and Rs. 492 3G mobile Internet packs has been reduced from 2GB to 1.5 GB, and from 4 GB to 3GB respectively, the report said.
